What is Procrastination..?

Procrastination is to be slow or late about doing something that should be done : to delay doing something until a later time because you do not want to do it, because you are lazy, etc.t . It is a common problem that can have negative effects on productivity, motivation, and overall well-being. Causes of procrastination can include a lack of motivation, fear of failure, poor time management, and difficulty with prioritizing tasks. To overcome procrastination, individuals may use techniques such as setting specific and achievable goals, breaking tasks into smaller chunks, using a schedule or to-do list, and practicing self-discipline and time management. Additionally, seeking help from a therapist or counselor can be helpful in addressing underlying issues that may be contributing to procrastination.



Types of Procrastinator

Decisional procrastination: This type of procrastination occurs when an individual has difficulty making decisions or choices. They may feel overwhelmed by the options available, leading them to avoid making a decision altogether.

  • Leading to low self-esteem and negative self-talk
  • Reducing opportunities and chances.
